This young, pioneering pianist played a thrilling recital before members of UNESCO at the United Nations in Paris, France, where she studied with Nadia Boulanger at the American School at Fountainbleau. She was pronounced as an "excellent exponent of French Music" by Parisian Critics (1949). She served on the music faculty at Fisk University
