This pioneer gained permission to use Paradise Cove, a former dance hall in West San Antonio Heights, Texas to educate children as she organized parents to petition for public funds. She was the only teacher. (1931) The county built a one room schoolhouse without water for her 30 students. (1934) A modern four-room school was constructed (1952).
