First African American woman in the nation elected to a law review (Boston University Law Review, 1924) and the first African American to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University Law Review (1925). This pioneer became the first Member of the Council of the Law School (1926). She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1927.
