First African American to receive a Doctorate in Rhetorical Studies from Washington State University (1975). First recognized scholar of Orator Hallie Quinn Brown, an African American activist in the late 1880s. Founder and President of the Black Storytellers of San Diego, Inc. Author of the 1976 book Black Congressional Reconstruction Orators and Their Orations.
