Shantelle Jenkins has been accepted into the American Association of Community Colleges NCBAA Leadership Development Institute. Soror Shantelle will be one of 25 mid-level community college administrators selected from across the country to participate in the institute. LDI prepares African Americans in community colleges for leadership roles to insure that the pipeline to executive-level positions remains fluid. Soror Shantelle was also a national finalist for the LDI Scholars Fellowship awarded to the institute participant who demonstrates an understanding of the community college mission and the students it serves, exemplary service in the community college setting, and has made progressive advancement toward leader-ship positions in the community college. Soror Shantelle is the 2015 LDI Fellow and received the national merit scholarship which includes full tuition, books and LDI associated fees.

Tamara Johnson attended George Mason University on an athletic track & field scholarship where she became a 3-time All American and received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health/Pre-Physical Therapy in 1994. Tamara competed in the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar Del Plata, Argentina and was a participant in the 1996 Olympic Trials in Atlanta, Georgia before attending the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. She received her Master's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 and has currently worked as a physical therapist for over 17 years. Tamara recently accomplished a 7-year vision which was opening her very own outpatient physical & aquatic therapy clinic. Sports Pro Physical Therapy in Fort Washington, MD opened in January 2015 where she continues to fulfill her purpose and serve her community through health & wellness.

Villajean Marie Jones, earned a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Fontbonne University. A Fontbonne University endowed scholarship was established in her honor. The Villajean Jones Endowed Scholarship assist speech and language students based on academic merit and financial need. Soror Villajean is an offsite clinical supervisor for student clinicians from St. Louis University and Fontbonne University. She is a former rehabilitation program manager in a skilled nursing facility. She is currently a speech-language pathologist at Life Care Center of St. Louis and owner of Successful Speech Services, LLC, is a private practice. She is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist and holds a current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), which she is a member.

Soror Shivon Ponice Kershaw, will be embarking on new career heights at Harvard University! Soror Shivon has been among the 3% in the country, and one of four from the United States, and the first employee of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Federal Agency) accepted in the 40-member cohort in the Harvard University Emerging Leadership Program for 2015. She will be attending classes in Decision Science, Strategic Thinking and Quantitative Analysis for Crisis Management throughout the 13-month program with students from the UK, Australia, Nigeria, Israel, Italy and Benin.
