First African American woman to graduate from Yale University School of Fine Arts. She was the illustrator for the book "Brown Is A Beautiful Color" and the "African American Hymnal" for the Lutheran Church. In 1999, the State of New York commissioned her to create a painting for "The Adoption Album: Our Children, Our Families" poster.
