First African American female to serve for 34 years as a member of the Executive Staff of the San Antonio Area Council of Girl Scouts, now known as Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas.(1948). First African American female to serve on the Council Staff as Field Director of Area #4 (1948). She was given a directive to find a suitable camp site for Negro Girl Scouts. She located 40 acres near Waring, Texas in 1949. The camp was name Mira Sol.
