Courtney Mack Telfaire is a Relationship Manager for a technology company in Morrisville, NC, that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment worldwide. In this position, she partners, consults and advises the Engineering division, one of the company’s largest, to ensure the successful development and delivery of learning and development. As a Project Management professional with Six Sigma course training and Yellow Belt Certification, she has spent a large part of her career managing projects with a focus on process improvement, thus enabling business partners to reduce cycle times and increase efficiency by more than 50% with associated cost savings. While on the job, Courtney welcomes opportunities to volunteer and has participated in the company's STEM Day. This event provides a chance for middle and high school students to experience information and communication technology firsthand and learn about education and career opportunities. Keenly interested in civic and community affairs, Courtney served for six years on the Raleigh Appearance Commission, a City Council-appointed body whose mission is to provide guidance and leadership in matters of community design and appearance. She is currently designated as a "past member in service." Strongly committed to her family, the community and to serving others, she is a registered Girl Scouts of America volunteer, a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and a 25-year member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She served as President of the Alpha Theta Omega Chapter for two consecutive terms, and she currently chairs ATO, Inc., a 501(c)(3), the nonprofit charitable arm of the chapter.
